Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use constitute a contract between you and Republic International Bank, N.V.. You agree that your use of this Site shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Curacao and any applicable International Law.

Visa Cards

Use of this Card: The customer (“cardholder”) is solely responsible for the correct use of the credit card. After receiving the card the customer (“cardholder”) must activate the card in order to begin use of the issued product. The customer (“cardholder”) assumes responsibilities for all charges and fees derived from the correct use of the card. Any misuse of the card will be the sole responsibility of the cardholder. All features, benefits and restrictions defined by VISA® for their products will be applied to all Republic International Credit Cards.

Line of Credit: For the Gold and Signature VISA® Credit Cards, the credit limit will be establish based on the amount the customer (“cardholder”) decides to put as collateral in the form of a Certificate of Deposit. The relation between the line of credit and the amount of the collateral will be 1:1.

Payments: All minimum payments will be automatically charged to the savings, money market or checking account that the customer (“cardholder”) selects for this porpoise. The customer (“cardholder”) must make a payment when:

1. The closing balance on the customer (“cardholder”) statement of account shows an amount owing, the customer (“cardholder”) must pay the minimum payment.
2. If the customer (“cardholder”) wishes, the customer (“cardholder”) may pay more than the minimum payment.
3. The minimum payment equals the sum of the monthly payment and the greater of the past due amount and the over-limit amount.
4. If the closing balance is less than $50, the monthly payment equals the closing balance.
5. Otherwise, the monthly payment is the greater of: $50; and an amount equal to the sum of: the relevant percentage of the purchase component of the closing balance; and the relevant percentage of the cash component of the closing balance

Rates: The standard variable APR for purchases is based on our monthly review of rates and market conditions and decided by the Assets & Liabilities Committee of the Bank. To learn about all the standard APR Rates the customer should refer to the fees and commissions table publish by the Bank applicable for the period in which the transactions and charges were made. Promotional APR could be applied to some purchases during an specific period of time. After the promotional period ends, your standard APR will be applied to any unpaid balances.
